Frequently asked questions
How Essoria works, what we do and do not do, and how fees are set.
Using Essoria
What does Essoria do?
Essoria is an international trade consultancy and transaction-support platform. We help businesses post import and export requirements, find potential suppliers and buyers, review counterparties and documents, review Letters of Credit, and coordinate packaging, inspection, freight and customs through appropriate service providers.
Is Essoria a bank, freight forwarder or customs broker?
No. Essoria is not a bank, customs broker, freight forwarder, insurer, lender or government authority. Where a regulated or licensed service is involved, Essoria provides coordination, advisory, documentation support or partner coordination, and the service itself is performed by an appropriately licensed provider.
Do you guarantee buyers, suppliers or transactions?
No. We help identify and review potential counterparties and coordinate the trade process, but we do not guarantee buyers, suppliers, transactions, payments, profits or customs clearance.
Who can register?
Importers, exporters, buyers, suppliers, manufacturers and trade service providers can create a business account.
Requirements & marketplace
What happens after I post a requirement?
You receive a requirement ID immediately. An Essoria trade desk reviews it, may contact you to clarify details, and then lists it on the marketplace without your contact details.
Are the current marketplace listings real?
The listings currently shown are clearly marked as Sample Opportunities. They illustrate how requirements appear on the platform and are not live offers.
What do the verification levels mean?
Each level (L1 to L5) shows a specific check Essoria has completed, from identity information through to a full transaction review. A listing is only shown with a level once that check has actually been done. See the Verification page for details.
LC & payments
Can Essoria issue or confirm a Letter of Credit?
No. Banking functions, LC issuance, advising, confirmation, negotiation, payment and final authentication are performed by the relevant authorised financial institutions. Essoria reviews LC terms and documents and coordinates communication.
When should I get an LC reviewed?
Ideally at draft stage, before the credit is issued, so that unrealistic dates, unclear conditions or hard-to-obtain documents can be amended. A second check before presentation helps identify discrepancies.
Fees
How much does Essoria charge?
Fees vary depending on transaction size, complexity, destination, services required and scope of engagement. Every engagement is quoted and agreed in writing before work starts. See the Pricing page for how each fee type works.
Are third-party costs included?
No. Freight, insurance, inspection, customs brokerage, bank charges and duties are charged by those providers and are separate from Essoria's fees.
